Sarah began her career as a field archaeologist working in London and the south before moving into the heritage team for a multinational, multidisciplinary consultancy. At this point, Sarah was involved in the production of archaeology Desk-based Assessments, Environmental Statements and heritage consultancy, providing expert advice to a broad range of clients on heritage related matters in accordance with local and national policy across the UK and in Europe.
Now with over twenty years’ experience, she has produced numerous Statements of Significance, Heritage Statements and Archaeology Assessments for sites across the UK. Her expertise also includes the project design (Written Schemes of Investigation) and management of archaeological fieldwork, both in support of planning applications and to satisfy archaeological conditions attached to planning consent. Sarah has also acted to gain Scheduled Monument Consent for clients.
Sarah has provided honest assessment of schemes for a wide range of listed buildings from Grade I Listed structures to non-designated heritage assets as well as sites within Conservation Areas, in support of listed building and planning applications. In addition, Sarah has undertaken Historic Building Recording to satisfy planning conditions.
