Edgars secures planning and listed building consent for property in the Cotswolds

We’re pleased to have recently secured planning and listed building consent for extensions and alterations to a Grade II listed property in the Cotswolds.

Acting as planning consultant, we collaborated with a talented project team, including Pippa Paton Design, HCUK Group and Sylva Trees, to steer the design proposals through to approval, at the local level, and without the need for being heard by a planning committee.

As a listed building, it was essential that we fostered a close dialogue with the local planning authority from the very start of the pre-application process in order for the planning process to continue to advance smoothly. This was achieved through thorough communication with both the planning and conservation officers.

There were a number of components to the proposal and this placed importance on a clear planning strategy and an organised process of working. Through the planning process and proactive communication with the various statutory consultees involved, our client was satisfied with the positive outcome of the project and we look forward to seeing the works commence.
