The Cherwell District Council will soon be updating some of its local plan policies and will be addressing the needs of Cherwell up to the year 2040.
The new local plan (Cherwell Local Plan 2040) will replace the Cherwell Local Plan 2015. A draft of the Cherwell Local Plan 2040 Regulation 18 Consultation will be discussed on 11th January 2023 by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee. See the agenda.

What does this mean?
The Cherwell Local Plan 2040 Regulation 18 Consultation will be an opportunity to help shape the Local Plan. If you have a view on a particular matter or a site to promote for development, then this will be your chance to comment and influence the plan whilst it is being prepared.
