Changing Landscape Consultation – South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse

Landscape Oxfordshire
24th August 2023

South Oxfordshire District Council and the Vale of White Horse District Council are launching a new study to better understand, protect and enhance the landscapes across the area and are inviting comments on the topic.

As part of the preparation of a new joint Landscape Character Assessment, businesses, residents and visitors are encouraged to share their opinions on the local landscapes and what they believe is changing them.

Via an interactive map, members of the public can input their comments on various landscapes which will help aid the Councils in understanding what should be done to maintain them.

The Landscape Character Assessment will ensure that any future changes protect and enhance local character and distinctiveness and will also inform the joint Local Plan and guide planning application decisions for the districts.

When will the consultation close?

Comments should be submitted via the online consultation hub before it closes on Friday 29th September 2023.

More information can be found on the consultation overview page.
